We hired Mary at Sparrow Valley Ranch to transport our horses from Las Vegas to Spearfish, SD. Our experiece was unique in that we followed in a trailer of supplies and was able to see first hand, hour by hour how well Mary transported our horses. She is very safe, concious of the road, and makes the horses her focus. Stops for fuel were short so that we kept the horses moving to their rest place for the evening. Mary lives with the horses where they stay at night in her trailer and takes total responsability for safety and security. You won't find a better transporter that takes total ownership of the horses on the road.

I had to transport two miniature donkeys and I did an extensive amount of research to find a great hauler who would take care of these two new babies. Mary with Sparrow Valley Ranch, was absolutely amazing. The process was seamless, from the initial deposit payment, updates while she was driving, and final payment - it was a breeze. The minis were very well taken care of on this long 10 hour drive - Thank you so much! I would highly recommend Sparrow Valley Ranch for anyone looking to transport their precious cargo.

Mary did a wonderful job transporting our boy! Price was incredibly reasonable. I was bidding on him at an auction, and wasn’t even sure I was going to win. Despite not knowing if I was going to get him, she left early, before the auction even started, and drove 4 hours to meet me there. I did end up winning him, and she drove another 9 hours to my house. The 9 hour drive turned to a 12 hour drive after an accident brought traffic to a standstill. She sent constant updates and made sure he was offered food and water throughout the long drive. She also brought shavings to pad the trailer. The trailer has nice ventilation so he didn’t get too hot. She had cameras on him the entire time to monitor him during the drive. She did an excellent job ensuring our boy was comfortable the whole way, even when he was a bit impatient. Highly recommend!

As a family business, Sparrow Valley Ranch Transport operates with a focus on safety and comfort for your horse. We have DOT certification and are on the road for a limited time each day. Your horse will be un-loaded and stalled on overnight trips. We feed and water regularly and keep our trailer clean.

We Are Just the Right Size

We don't have a fleet of trailers, or a roster of drivers. We are a family ranch focused on hauling your horse in comfort. Other transporters who offer the lowest prices may run 7 to 10 place trailers for extended hours.

We selected a 4-horse trailer for maximum ride quality & comfort. We do not haul large numbers — we operate with great care and professionalism and are proud to offer the level of comfort your horse deserves, at a fair price.
